- Preheat your sandwich press or grill pan over medium heat.
- If desired, spread honey mustard on one side of each slice of bread, and mayonnaise on the other side.
- On four slices of bread, layer each with a slice of ham, a slice of Swiss cheese, and a pineapple ring. Top with another slice of bread.
- Spread a thin layer of butter on the top and bottom of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches on the preheated sandwich press or grill pan.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the heat and let cool for a minute before serving.
- Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
Add Toppings
- Pickles: Add some sliced dill pickles on top of the ham before you place the top slab of rolls.
- Caramelized Onions: For a sweet and savory flavor boost, add a layer of caramelized onions under the cheese.
- Crispy Bacon: Who doesn’t love bacon? Add a layer of crispy cooked bacon strips above the ham.
- Roasted Red Peppers: For a hint of smokiness and color, lay some strips of roasted red peppers on the cheese.
