Ingredients:
- 1 block firm tofu
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Dipping sauce of your choice (such as marinara sauce or sweet chili sauce)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into sticks or cubes, depending on your preference.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each tofu stick into the olive oil, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Roll the tofu stick in the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs to the tofu.
- Place the coated tofu sticks on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tofu is golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the tofu sticks from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Serve the vegetarian sticks with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
